Women’s and girls cricket continues to be a priority for Wiltshire Cricket. Schools, Clubs, Soft Ball Cricket & Representative Cricket are thriving across the County and as such Melksham Cricket Club are keen to establish a ladies soft ball cricket team.

This initiative will involve a number of training sessions delivered by a
cricket coach with all required kit being supplied by the club. In addition, there will be multiple opportunities for the team to take part in Women’s Soft Ball Cricket Festivals. These festivals are free to enter and will provide you with a chance to play against other local teams, in a fun and exciting environment. Many of these festivals include
music, BBQs, prosecco, cakes and free t-shirts.

Expect Fun

Whack some balls, bowl some balls, catch some balls. Run about a bit, laugh more than is good for you. Repeat.Women's Soft Ball - Home Page Text

Soft Ball Cricket is about getting out and playing: maximum fun, minimum fuss. No pads, no hard ball, no heavy bat, no head-scratching rules. It’s a game for absolutely everybody, no matter your skill level, fitness, or age. Playing time at Festivals is usually about two to four hours, so it never gets boring!

Turn up and we promise you a warm welcome, a free T-shirt, free coaching, music, and food: basically all the good things about a festival with none of the grunge.

Think ladies soft ball cricket may be for you?
